Nokia N97 desempaquetado y primeras impresiones (¡con vídeo!)

Pocos móviles nos han llamado tanto la atención como el N97 desde que asistimos a la presentación en España del dispositivo de la mano del mismísmo jefe de diseño de NSeries, Axel Meyer. En aquella presentación tuvimos la ocasión de probar uno de los prototipos y hoy tenemos ya en nuestras manos la versión final y comercial del terminal.

Por el momento lo que te podemos contar es que el móvil (más bien, ordenador de bolsillo, como diría Nokia) es impresionante desde el exterior hasta el propio terminal y sus accesorios. Hemos grabado un vídeo -que tienes justo tras el salto- con la apertura de la caja y te pedimos disculpas de antemano puesto que hemos abierto la caja delante de la cámara, con todas sus consecuencias...

Muy bonito el movil,aunque el abrir la caja sin saber lo que hay dentro mal ja,ja,igualmente se agradece,a ver si nos contais a fondo como funciona el movil^^

Sin duda este móvil tiene mucho que ofrecer, pero me parece un poco grande para mis manos, bueno, de todas maneras esta dirigido a gente del ambito corporativo. Espero tambien una revision para ver como va este móvil. Gracias chicos!

Sin duda este movil es uno de los mejores del mundo. Sin embargo como todos los moviles tiene sus desventajas... desventajas que no pruebo personalmente por motivos obvios( aun no tengo el n97 =P) y bueno que se saben de sobra.. como el problema del procesador... que es de 424Mhz si mal no recuerdo... imagino que un celular de esta talla necesitaria un procesador mucho mas potente... dando un ejemplo es iphone 3g tiene un procesador de 620Mhz.... si bien es cierto el OS puede hacer varias todo y quien sabe quiza el s60 no sea tan exigente.. sin embargo noto cierta lentitud en el movil... ya sea ala hora de conectarlo a una wlan... o incluso al rotar el telefono y activando el acelerometro para que la imagen de la pantalla rote... Sobre todas las cosas es un excelente movil como dije antes espero que llegue pronto a sudamerica... muchas gracias por el video...

el contenido muy bien, pero el enfoque del video es muy posterior y los primeros planos no se ven enfocados

Gracias por el comentario Aritz. Se ha buscado ofreceros el contenido lo antes posible y ello ha obligado a grabar un vídeo sin edición y de forma rápida. Habrá un análisis más a conciencia y con mejor calidad ;)

mmm no me termina de convencer muy bueno el video pero el equipo lo veo algo lento y la tapita de atras mmm para un terminal de ese precio bien ubiera sido de metal pero en fin prefiero esperarme al satio y espero que tambien cuando salga realisen un reseña de ese equipo de sony ericsson

wow what a bad unboxing video. you should know whats inside before filming. and come on at least turn it on once before or watch a 5800 video first. this guy had no idea how to use the phone at all. of all people to get hands on time, i cant believe it went to this guy who was so absolutely clueless. he couldnt even figure out how to turn it on, let alone set the date and time. i would have loved to see more of the widgets or menus but instead we got a nice close up of the same microphone/mp3 controller that nokia has been packing with phones for a long time already. has this guy ever used a nokia?

i was really looking forward to this phone. and i am still considering it. but after how painfully slow and almost unusable my 5800 is, i dont think ill be moving to anything else from nokia unless the processor is faster. this definitely should not have the processor it does consider the price point. also disappointed to see no improvements to the UI (for example, a user friendly way to change am/pm) and also no improvements to the crappy back cover design.

This is a real unboxing video. How do you know what's inside before the unboxing?

There's no way we would know how to use the phone if we have never used it before.

Now that we have it in our hands, we are testing it and soon will publish a detailed analysis.

It was the first time I had it in my hands! As for setting up the time is concerned, I did what an average user would do as the wizard prompted me to set up the time

As far as what is inside, that should be very easy to look up on nokia's website.

Regarding the operation of the phone, it's mostly the same as the 5800, which has been out for quite a while now. Actually it's mostly the same as any S60 phone. All I'm saying is that it was pretty frustrating to watch. It seemed as if you have never held a touchscreen phone before. I can understand an average user having a bit of a learning curve, but not someone who works for a mobile phone blog.

With respect to the wizard, the am/pm issue is completely a problem with Nokia's user interface, as I mentioned. However, something like the dedicated power button is almost a given if you have ever used a Nokia product.

I'm sure the detailed analysis will be more polished and also of interest to me. But as far as this video is concerned, let's just say that I would have done a "Take 2." That's just me, though. I suppose there's nothing saying that an unboxing absolutely must be the first time the box was ever opened.

Christian: el procesador del iPhone es de 620 Mhz pero está reducido a trabajar a 412 Mhz por consumo de batería. Por otro lado, el iPhone oculta cualquier demora en la interfaz mediante sus animaciones aceleradas 3D, mientras que Symbian no usa transiciones de ningún tipo. En un reciente podcast escuché que el N97 si lleva un GPU (Power VR?) pero que no se usa en la interfaz por el consumo de energía, sin embargo estaría disponible para aplicaciones.

I am so disappointed...The performance looks slow. When he flips the screen in to landscape the lag is almost a full 2 seconds. This makes me wonder about how the rest of the phone performs. The battery is huge compare to most full qwerty touchscreen phones. I don't know maybe it was worth it at the 525 pre-order price, but not at 699. I am really disappointed. I will wait and see new footage of the phone features hand-on before I final judgment. Please show you tube, web browser, camera, video next time.

Ok, vendi mi Sony PS3, mi iPhone blanco de 16GB (de un mes de nuevo) y todavia tube que poner mas dinero para poder pre-ordenar este N97, y aparte a escondidas por que si se da cuenta mi vieja que gaste tanto en un telefono me cuesta hasta el divorcio. Solo espero que valga la pena si no ya me chingue.

en serio, el aparato promete. El diseño me parece logradísimo, y la velocidad del procesador quizás algo corta...
