Apple Store back online {The Unofficial Apple Weblog (TUAW)}

Jun 9th 2008 3:12PM I try to enter the Apple Store US from Spain but it shows an "Error Serving Request" -I guess due to massive number of visitors.

So I have one question for you guys... Will Apple bring down the price of the iPod Touch? That seems the logical step to me, now that you can have a 16 GB iPhone for 299 bucks.

MacBook Air Leopard disk only works with MacBook Air {The Unofficial Apple Weblog (TUAW)}

Jan 30th 2008 10:19AM It's somehow weird... I just think I remember Steve Jobs making fun about the many versions of Windows Vista in front of the one and only OS X Leopard version.

Perhaps I only dreamed it.

Perhaps I didn't.

Reported Seagate drive failures may affect Mac laptops {The Unofficial Apple Weblog (TUAW)}

Nov 7th 2007 5:44PM One month late for me :(

Mine was a 100 GB Seagate Momentus (ST9100824AS).

I was working with Open Office for Mac when my MacBook Core Duo 1,83 suddenly freezed. After a couple of minutes, I holded down the Turn On/Off button to shut it down. Then I tried to start the computer... and the system wouldn't even recognize there was a drive. I plugged the original drive that came with the MB and tried to make OS X recognize the other in an external USB case and... nothing.

I'm actually waiting for the same brand new 100 GB Seagate to come home to see if I can change the broken pieces myself (here in Spain I'd have to pay around 1.000 - 2.000 euros if I want to try with a recovery company to work it out).

By the way, the firmware is 3.06.

I hope this comes in time to warn you: DO NOT use Open Office for Mac (I think there is some kind of problem regarding to its java programming, but I am not pretty sure). Use NeoOffice instead, it works great. And DO always back up your data regularly.

You can't say I did'nt warn you pals!

Nov 19th 2006 11:51AM "la tendencia de las operadoras de telefona mvil adaptndose a las nuevas necesidades que va creando el mercado"

Hombre, vamos a ver...

Apple to Asia: no movies for you {The Unofficial Apple Weblog (TUAW)}

Sep 14th 2006 2:12PM It really is a weird way of fighting piracy: keeping people from the possibility of buying legal movies. So I guess they'll need to keep using eMule or Bittorrent, even the ones who could want to buy them legally on the Internet.
