PS3 firmware 3.30 sneaks in remote play from PC, bitstream audio options {Engadget}

Good lord the first sensible comment in this thread. This whole thread is beyond pathetic.

Anyway, so whats up with the bitstream update? It used to be impossible to bitstream DolbyHD. So what does this update do?

Nov 1st 2009 9:45AM Hola, sorry to ask in English:

I plan to get an unlocked phone, and was wondering if its possible in Spain to do the following:

1. Get a contract that is only data (with unlimited transfer), so that my phone is always connected to the internet through 3G.

2. Get a voice account without a contrast (pre-paid).

Anybody have experience with this?

Muchas gracias!

Jul 30th 2009 10:44AM Its becoming clear that with downloaded products, its low price that matters. If only the music and movie industry would take notice. At this price, I would buy 8 movies at a time.

What disturbs me about comments like the one made by 'i like corn' is to say that downloading is against the law and thats that. Discussion closed. People like that fail to see that there is a much larger issue at stake, one that very much has to do with basic human rights. Its funny that you mention anarchy, because that is indeed the premise of the internet. There is no control structure. This is exactly the reason why sites like the pirate bay exist, and the reason why the recording and movie industry are up in arms. If it was up to the recording and movie industry, the internet would be regulated and controlled. I dont know about you, but I very much enjoy the current state of the internet, and I wouldnt want it to become the digital version of a record store, where you have to pay for every bit of information that you want. Finally, I hate to bring up political examples, but if you look at the recent developments in Iran where information could be exchanged freely because of the anarchic state of the internet, than maybe you can get some idea of what it is that is exactly at stake here.
